Recorded the comet for live broadcast on WGRZ TV2 from the rooftop of the Buffalo Museum of Science. It was cold. But Comet ISON was easy to find and bright enough to be seen with my webcam in 2 second exposures.
From my backyard today… the sun just above the rooftops, behind the power lines until February.
The Sun Rocks
Just received the debut release from Distoria. I love when I get to be a crossover astronomy geek.
War of the Worlds
October 30th is the 75th anniversary of the haunting radio drama broadcast by CBS for Orson Welles and the Mercury Theater. It will be celebrated on PBS American Experience this Tuesday night at 9pm. They licensed my Mars image for the episode. Will it make the cut? Tune in… and watch the skies. Watch the skies.
Roots of Life
An image captured last week during an observing session with NYC artist/designer Rajan Mehta. I’m looking forward to our upcoming joint project.
Sunset and sunrise around the equinoxes makes for some challenging sight lines on my street, which runs due east/west. Drive safe!
