A walk in the solar woods… enjoy!
Always amazing and always different.
I caught this monster stalking the edge of the sun last week. BIG and frighteningly beautiful, it haunted the limb for three days before disappearing.
Moonrise at 30,000 feet
…one of the reasons why I always ask for a window seat.
moonrise and sunset
Opposites attract. From the rooftop of the Buffalo Museum of Science, a full moon rising. The sun paints the sky 180 degrees away and equidistant beneath the western horizon.
Pictures at an Exhibition
If your travels bring you in the vicinity of Western New York, stop in to see my show with astro-photographer Ted Wolfe at the Roger Tory Peterson Institute of Natural History in Jamestown. Here Comes the Sun will focus on portraits of our neighborhood star. It runs through April 7th. The Peterson Institute is a wonderful place, devoted to the legacy of one of America’s most prolific and published nature artists.
